Tips to Revitalise Your Hair Whilst Waiting for Your Next Salon Visit

We’ve made the decision to focus more on beauty, which means we’ve now closed our hair salon. However, we’re still always here for our customers with handy tips on your hair care! We’ve all done it – left it just that little bit too long in between haircuts. When you realise what you’ve done and phone to make your next appointment, it might still be a week or two before you can book an appointment to revitalise your hair and have it look good as new! But, don’t fret. Here are some ways you can tease your hair into holding onto that luxurious feeling until you can make it into a salon again.

Deep Condition

There really is no substitute for a high-quality, salon deep condition. However, in a pinch there are some home remedies you can use. Find a good deep conditioning product, to begin with. Wash your hair first but make sure you use a gentle shampoo. Next you can run the conditioner throughout your hair, leave it for at least ten minutes, and then apply heat. You don’t need much – just a low setting on the hair dryer. Then, rinse the conditioner out using cool water. This will revitalise your locks for another day or two and give you that bouncy, salon-fresh feeling.

Tame Flyaways

Has the time between cuts caused some breaks in your hair? Flyaways can be easily tamed if you can’t make it to the salon right away. Simply spray a little hairspray on a spare toothbrush and use that the brush them down. This way, your hair won’t go brittle from over-spraying but it will look nice and neat for you!

Don’t Make It Worse

Now it’s more important than ever to remember those important tips your hairdresser gave you! This means that yes, you should be brushing your wet hair with a wide toothed comb to avoid damaging it. Remember to finish blowdrying your hair by blasting it with the cool setting, try not to wash your hair every day, and drink plenty of water. All of these things help to revitalise your hair.

Try a Texturising Spray

Even if it’s not your usual style, it may be worth having a texturising spray on hand for these moments. Spritzing your hair with these wonder-sprays means that the messy-do you’ve accidentally cultivated is looking great! It may not be the obvious choice for revitalising your hair, but it certainly works, and you can leave the house knowing that your do seems strong and still in-style.
